As a senior member of the IEEE Computer Society (CS) and the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS), Dr. Jiang has been actively involved in applying information technology to biomedicine. His research expands from bioinformatics, mining healthcare social media, and clinical research and healthcare information technology. Dr. Jiang has published in high-profile publications such as Bioinformatics, IEEE Transactions on Information Technology in Biomedicine, Computer Science Lecture Notes, Artificial Intelligence Lecture Notes, Computers in Biology and Medicine, and Computer Methods and Programs in Biomedicine.

Dr. Jiang has served as Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Information Technology in Biomedicine, and on Committees of the IEEE-EMBS International Conference on Biomedical and Health Informatics, the i-Society Conferences, and the International Conference on Networking and Distributed Computing.
